wieBIT's Cell Tunnel for Card Readers
Made for a remote locations... Cellular tunnel transmits and receives card reader data in coordination with the cloud service Particle.io. No data is stored in the Particle io cloud, but programming of the cellular tunnel can allow for Google Cloud, Azure, AWS and other services. Cell Tunnel Communications
wieBit card reader data travels over cellular networks, encrypted with AES256. The 404 chip inside connects to Verizon, At&T and T-Mobile in North America. Other regions are available by request.

No LAN, No Problem
There is no need to worry about IP addressing with cell tunnel, Cell Carriers and firmware automatically connect the remote device to its assigned home run device.

Optional WiFi add on available, with configuration to choose fail over communication pathway.
Just take it out of the box and plug it in. It will automatically connect to the cell network and its paired device back home.
How it works
Status reporting
When a card is scanned, it takes the card reader output data and transmits it to its assigned home devices, the home device then outputs the card reader data to the access control panel, your access control system doesn't know the difference and there is no added programming. The home device will listen for an access granted from the access control panel and transmit back to the remote device that the card swipe event has finished . This will clear the swipe event log in the remote device.
Logging data points, at any interval, on command, or parameter/ algorithm based. These data points can be shared to other devices, further triggering actions.
Sensor types: Temp., Humidity, Prescence, Distance, Tilt, Knock, Air pressure, Accelerometer, and Sounds.
Additional Features
With an option to plug it in with a USB type c connector, use a rechargeable battery, or even add a solar panel, there's not many places wieBit's Cell Tunnel can't go.
We can attach a standard card reader or use one that your company requires. Mobile credentialing compatible with most models. OSDP compatible with most models.

Optional web interface for transaction and connectivity analytics can be built and deployed for special use cases. If an update to firmware is needed for the device, over the air update can take off adding features, adjusting configurations and remote support.

Expand your card reader functionality to include sensing, air quality monitoring, command relay outputs to control lights or shades and much more. Tamper sensor included, alarm input and output options as well as input arrays and output array of 8 channels. Light sensors, Prescence sensors, Temperature and Humidity, Air pressure, Tilt and knock sensors.
